The United Way of Long Island brings people together to create a stronger Long Island. The Young Professionals Network (YPN) is working hard to raise funds and awareness to support veterans across Long Island through Mission United.  Its “Funny Business” Comedy Show event on February 5th was the latest success, bringing over 225 enthusiastic supporters representing over 90 organizations across Long Island for a great cause.

Jennifer achieved her dreams of pursuing a career in science. She was the first high school graduate in her family and the first to be accepted into university. Jennefer had no one in her family to turn to about the college experience and no plan to pay for it.  

The Brentwood PSEG Long Island Robotics Workforce Club completed its first competition season, building and competing with two robots. Students met this engineering challenge throughout the year with dedication, passion, and many late afternoons and evening build sessions.

Four YouthBuild programs brought a team, and every team brought their “A” game. Participants were diving and sliding to get the ball, passing, and shooting with the game on the line -- no one left anything on the court, and it showed on the scoreboard.
