Supporting United Way of Long Island

ABOUT THE LONG ISLAND INSURANCE COMMUNITY

The Long Island Insurance Community (LIIC) began in 1995 when a dozen LI insurance industry leaders got together to create a vehicle to give back to the community and to those less fortunate. Today nearly 500 insurance industry executives and business leaders gather together to raise funds at its annual gala.

The LIIC has raised more than $6 million at its annual galas, for Long Island charities, including United Way of Long Island

The goal continues to be bringing the insurance community together to change the lives of Long Islanders in need. The gala annually honors industry and business leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to the community that has improved the quality of life for their neighbors.

LIIC 27th Annual Gala

At its core, insurance is a pillar of support for individuals and businesses and a fundamental priority for the Long Island Insurance Community (LIIC) to help those in need.

Over 300 guests attended the 27th Annual Gala at The Mansion at Oyster Bay, raising $250,000 to benefit United Way of Long Island, the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County, and Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, Inc. Since 1995, the LIIC has contributed more than $6 million to local nonprofit organizations.

The Annual Gala recognizes industry and business leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to the community that has improved the quality of life for their neighbors. This year’s honoree was William Misita, CPCU, Sr. Vice President, Philadelphia Insurance Companies.

“This award is not just a recognition of my individual efforts, it’s a testament to the collective dedication and hard work of the Long Island Insurance Community past, present, and future,” said William Misita.

This year’s Title Sponsor was Philadelphia Insurance Companies; Platinum Sponsor: Acruisure; Gold Sponsor: Hotaling Insurance Services, Hub International; Silver Sponsors: AIG, Alliant, Fairmont Insurance, Ryan Turner Specialty, and SterlingRisk Insurance.
