All in Support of United Way of Long Island’s Veterans Programs

Bay Shore resident and U.S. Army veteran Thomas DeKenipp has crossed the finish line in the TCS NYC Marathon and raised over $3,100 for United Way of Long Island’s veterans’ programs.   The nonprofit was named an Official Charity Partner of the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon, which took place on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Huntington Station resident Bryan Gray and U.S. Army veteran has crossed the finish line in the TCS NYC Marathon and raised over $3,700 for United Way of Long Island’s veterans programs. The nonprofit was named an Official Charity Partner of the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon, which took place on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

Lindenhurst resident Nicholas Chester and U.S. Navy veteran has crossed the finish line in the TCS NYC Marathon and raised over $2,600 for United Way of Long Island’s veterans programs.   The nonprofit was named an Official Charity Partner of the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon, which took place on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

For the 30th time, Freeport resident Alma Rocha has crossed the finish line in the TCS NYC Marathon – and for the third time as a member of United Way of Long Island’s Team Mission United.  At the same time, she raised over $2,100 in support of the not-for-profit’s veterans programs.

East Meadow resident David Smith has crossed the finish line in the TCS NYC Marathon and raised over $2,600 for United Way of Long Island’s veterans’ programs.   The nonprofit was named an Official Charity Partner of the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon, which took place on Sunday, November 7, 2021.   

United Way of Long Island has been awarded a $1 million Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Older Adults Home Modification Grant Program (OAHMP). Funds will be applied to make safety and functional home modifications and limited repairs to meet the needs of low-income elderly homeowners that allow them to age in place.
