PORT WASHINGTON RESIDENT WILL KIM, ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT FOR GEICO JOINS UNITED WAY OF LONG ISLAND’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

willJanuary 11, 2022 (Deer Park, NY) – United Way of Long Island recently elected Port Washington resident Will Kim, Assistant Vice President of Product Management for GEICO, to its Board of Directors. His 16-year career with GEICO began in Woodbury, New York, as a Customer Service Management Trainee. His hard work and dedication allowed him to relocate to GEICO’s headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland. There, he worked in Product Management, progressing from Analyst to Product Manager. In 2015, Will joined GEICO’s Underwriting, Research, and Control Division, later promoted to Manager of Customer Analytics and Fraud. Will led efforts to identify ways for GEICO policyholders to save money and receive fast personalized digital experiences. 
 
In 2018, Will was promoted to Director of Corporate Planning and Control. It was here that he supported GEICO’s corporate planning and execution efforts. In 2019, GEICO’s Board of Directors elected him as Assistant Vice President of Underwriting for New York. Now Will and his team of sales, service, and underwriting professionals work to serve GEICO’s 1.9 million New York policyholders with outstanding service and guidance to manage their insurance coverage. In January 2022, Will was asked to change responsibilities and now serves as assistant vice president of product management where he brings his passion for providing customers with low prices and a great customer experience.

Will emigrated from South Korea to the United States as a young child with his family. He was raised in Queens and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Will lives in Port Washington with his wife May and daughter Rebecca.
