UNITED WAY RAISES $600,000 AT ANNUAL UNITED TOGETHER CELEBRATION SPONSORED BY BETHPAGE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
United Way of Long Island celebrated the dedication and support of individuals, organizations, corporations and labor unions at its annual UNITED TOGETHER Celebration Luncheon at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on June 16.
Supported by longtime Title Sponsor Bethpage Federal Credit Union, the fundraising event raised $600,000 for United Way and its community impact partners. More than 400 guests enjoyed the mission-focused event with fellow Long Islanders who share United Way’s vision of neighbors helping neighbors.
United Way of Long Island has been awarded a $200,000 grant from the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) in support of the $2.2 million fundraising goal for the organization’s Net Zero Energy Building campaign.
The Bountiful Company, a Nestlé Health Science Company, has awarded a $30,000 grant to United Way of Long Island to support the nutritional health and wellness of families on Long Island. The grant will be used to provide nutrition education to families with school-age and pre-school children, offering educational tools and services for over 100 children.
United Way of Long Island recently elected Smithtown resident Thérèse C. Vobis (Teri), Senior Vice President of Tax & Accounting at First Long Island Investors, to its Board of Directors. The announcement was made by Theresa A. Regnante, President and CEO of United Way of Long Island.
January 11, 2022 (Deer Park, NY) – United Way of Long Island recently elected Traci Shelton, Advocate at Options for Community Living, to its Board of Directors. Traci Shelton currently serves as the Chair of the Nassau-Suffolk HIV Health Services Planning Council and had served as the Vice-Chair of the Planning Council from 2019 to 2021.
