BALDWIN RESIDENT ERIKA HILL, OWNER/PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT OF VISION STREET RESEARCH, JOINS UNITED WAY OF LONG ISLAND’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

United Way of Long island recently elected Baldwin resident Erika Hill, Owner and Principal Consultant of Vision Street Research to its Board of Directors.  Beginning her career with United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, followed by many years in community, economic and workforce development, Erika brings great expertise to our region’s United Way. 

Working closely with minority women-owned businesses, non-profits, academic institutions, vocational training programs, as well as legislators, Erika has helped increase awareness and participation of county programs to support diverse communities.  She noted, “As a graduate of United Way of Greater Atlanta Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP), and a business owner and advocate for access to opportunities for underserved communities, I am honored to sit on this prominent board. I look forward to working with my fellow board members to make a positive impact on the issues and populations most in need.”

Erika received her Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning and was Summa Cum Laude at Rutgers University.  Prior, her achievements earned her Valedictorian at Clark Atlanta University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Since 2018, she has served as Council Co-Chair for the Urban League’s State of Black Long Island’s Economic Equity Action Team and is a member of the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.  In 2019, Erika received the Women on the Rise/Woman of Distinction Award, as well as the Schneps Media Stars under 40 Award.
