For the third straight year, United Way of Long Island has been named the Grand Winner in the Affordable Homes Category of the U.S. Department of Energy's Housing Innovation Awards. On November 13, United Way held a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate this achievement, and celebrated the veterans graduating from our VetsBuild program who received their certificates and commemorative coins. …
