The rapid growth of the sustainable construction and energy efficiency industries is creating strong demand for skilled workers. According to New York State, thousands of new workers will be needed in the coming years to support building modernization, electrification, energy efficiency, and other clean energy initiatives.

Based at the state-of-the-art E3 SmartBuild Training Center, the academy provides hands-on training that prepares participants for careers in renewable energy, sustainable construction, energy efficiency, and related industries.
Our free training program provides the skills, certifications, and career support needed to enter a growing industry with real opportunities for advancement. Participants gain hands-on experience in building science, energy-efficient building systems, heat pumps, building electrification, construction safety, and other sustainability-focused technologies.
In addition to technical training, students receive resume assistance, interview preparation, career coaching, and connections to employment opportunities with industry partners.
Training is offered at no cost to young adults, veterans, and other individuals seeking to start or advance a career in sustainable construction and energy efficiency.
