The Lorraine Aycock Memorial Scholarship Fund

Lorraine Aycock headshotABOUT LORRAINE AYCOCK

Lorraine Aycock lost her long and brave battle with cancer on September 22, 2020. Her legacy is one of hope and compassion.

Lorraine was a prominent advocate for those in need and a well-respected Senior Vice President with Bank of America. United Way of Long Island was fortunate to have her as a member of the Board of Directors. Over her decade-long involvement, Lorraine was instrumental in establishing many important community programs. She was particularly committed to Long Island’s children, youth and veterans helping to improve their lives through education and career training. Lorraine was actively engaged in many nonprofit organizations including Community Development Corporation of Long Island, Family Service League, Farmingdale College Foundation, the First Baptist Cathedral of Westbury and Jack and Jill of Nassau County.

ABOUT THE LORRAINE AYCOCK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

To honor her commitment and impact, United Way of Long Island, along with colleagues from the nonprofit and corporate sector established The Lorraine Aycock Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Fund provides academic scholarships to deserving young women achievers to pursue their dreams and aspirations of attending higher education.

Please consider making a contribution to the Fund and help us reach our goal of $10,000. Lorraine touched the lives of so many colleagues and friends. The Fund is a way to give back to a cause that meant so much to her.
