United Way of Long Island, in partnership with Suffolk Transportation Service, Inc. launched its 14th annual Stuff-A-Bus program. The program prepares young students for success by providing essential school supplies.

On September 9, volunteers loaded school buses with boxes filled with donated supplies, including pencils, pens, markers, notebooks, backpacks, and more. These items were supplied to over 5,000 students from Brentwood, Central Islip, Freeport, and Wyandanch schools.

"We are so grateful to all the organizations who responded to our annual stuff a bus initiative. Sending kids to school with new supplies is game changing for a good start to the year. Education, financial stability and health are our core values, and we are happy to invest in children across Long Island," said Theresa A. Regnante, President and CEO of United Way of Long Island.
“It is our pleasure, as a company, to make this connection to our community and our students. We know that these supplies are essential to the learning process and all at STS take great pleasure in knowing that we are part of helping our children learn, “said John Corrado, President of Suffolk Transportation Service, Inc.
