APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON OR AROUND MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2020  

Please be advised that the United Together Response Fund retail gift card initiative to assist low income workers who were unemployed due to COVID-19 will close on or around June 1, 2020. The application for assistance will no longer be available on United Way’s website.   

Along with its Community Partner agencies, United Way will be developing a longer term response to COVID-19 recovery and is closing out phase 1 of the United Together Fund's direct aid to individuals and families. We encourage you to check our website at www.unitedwayli.org/unitedtogetherfund for future programs that may become available to assist those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.   

United Way's 211 Long Island information helpline is available 24 hours, 7 days a week to provide referrals to available local services should you continue to need assistance.  All calls are confidential and service is available in multiple languages.  In addition, visit the New York State website https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home for health-related information on COVID 19. The following documents are required and must be uploaded to complete your application: 
- Valid Photo ID 
- Most Recent Pay Stub 

Assistance is available to low-income, wage earners who reside in Nassau or Suffolk County and are recently unemployed or have been furloughed due to the effects of COVID-19. Applicants must meet the gross monthly income eligibility guidelines

Support will help eligible applicants meet their critical basic needs of food and household supplies via retail gift cards.
