Yocasta, a Union Organizer and Representative for Local 338 RWDSU, began running while helping her younger brother train for Marines Corps boot camp. A strong supporter of working families and ensuring better work conditions, Yocasta has been involved in the labor movement for six years. She is now shifting her focus as a Team MISSION UNITED runner to supporting Long Island veterans. Yocasta is excited to run her first marathon as part of Team MISSION UNITED at the TCS New York City Marathon, finally crossing it off of her bucket list. Her four kids will be cheering her on as she crosses the finish line this November in honor of her brother and all Long Island servicemen.
