There are hundreds of Long Islanders in need of essential human care services every day, but people often don’t know where to turn. 2-1-1 Long Island is a free, easy-to-remember number to call during times of disaster. When you need help or access to referrals or programs ranging from disaster recovery, to job training, to child care, to help for an aging parent, to substance abuse assistance we are here to help.
At the 2-1-1 Long Island call center, trained call specialists will help you assess your needs and assist you in finding the appropriate community resources. Call specialists can communicate with callers in more than 170 languages.
2-1-1 Long Island is also available online at www.211longisland.org The searchable database has more than 9,000 program listings and include a convenient “Popular Search” tab for frequent topics.
