Brandon V. Ray Joins United Way Of Long Island’s Board Of Directors

United Way of Long Island recently elected Williston Park resident Brandon V. Ray to its Board of Directors. As Regional Director of External Affairs (Long Island) for AT&T, Ray serves as representative to local government and community organizations. He also leads and implements the company’s local governmental public policy initiatives by developing and executing strategic legislative and public affairs tactics and strategies.

“I truly believe that giving back to one’s community is something that everyone can do, and I am proud to have the opportunity to serve on this prestigious board,” said Ray. “My career allows me to learn about the needs of this area, and being a member of United Way of Long Island’s Board of Directors allows me to make even more of a positive impact.”

All of Long Island will benefit from his appointment to our Board of Directors,” added Theresa A. Regnante, President and CEO of United Way of Long Island.

Born and raised in Hempstead, Mr. Ray attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration-Management. After Howard University, Mr. Ray was chosen as one of a select group of promising leaders when he was accepted into the National Urban Fellows Inc. Fellowship Program. In 2007, Mr. Ray earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs as a National Urban Fellow.

Mr. Ray is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, Long Island STEM Hub and Union Baptist Church in Hempstead. He also serves on the boards of the Mentor New York’s Leadership Council and the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, and has a role on the Community Impact Council for United Way of Long Island. Mr. Ray currently resides in Williston Park with his wife Alicia.
