United Way of Long Island is inviting Long Islanders to a day at The Barclays to benefit its Military Family Assistance Project. United Way of Long Island recently held its LIVE UNITED Celebration Luncheon which honored three leading corporate and community citizens. Held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, the event was attending by nearly 825 professionals and raised $483,000 to benefit United Way’s Community Impact Fund which supports agencies and programs that directly address and assist those most at imminent risk in our communities. The Town of Islip Community Development Agency (CDA) has partnered with United Way of Long Island to administer the Home Energy Audit and Retrofit Program.  The CDA has contracted United Way of Long Island to provide up to 112 free energy audits and retrofits to Islip Town residences.  The audits, retrofits and implementation measures will be performed by United Way of Long Island staff who carry Home Energy Survey Professionals (HESP) and Home Energy Rating System (HERS) certifications.  The program will be administered by the Town of Islip CDA.  United Way will help guide and educate...
