United Way of Long Island announces the following appointments to its Board of Directors:
Gloria E. Gargano, Field Sales Specialist for Small Business of CNA Financial Corporation in Melville, has 30 years experience as Field Representative and Sales Manager for CNA Insurance in the Long Island territory. CNA is the 7th largest U.S. commercial lines insurer and the 13th largest U.S. property and casualty insurer. Prior to her career at CNA Insurance, Gargano worked with Parola, Feuerstein & Gross, Esq. a law firm specializing in matrimonial, real estate and criminal law. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Long Island Insurance Community Board, and additionally volunteers for S.S. Cyril & Methodius CYO. She is a graduate of C.W. Post University.
Nicholas M. Auletta currently serves as a Vice President at Summit Security Services, Inc., one of the largest privately owned security and investigative companies in the U.S. He has 10 years of military and security management experience; including forty-four months of deployed time to the Iraq combat zone. He has received two Bronze Star Medals and the Meritorious Service Medal, as well as numerous Army Commendations and Achievement Medals for his service. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Since 2001, John T. Costanzo has served as president of Purolator USA, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Purolator Courier, Ltd. Costanzo is responsible for the corporation’s $100 million U.S. small package and freight forwarding business, including the development and execution of Purolator’s strategic growth plan for the U.S. market. An active member of his community, Costanzo also serves on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Association (LIA).
Grant Hendricks Jr. is Principal of BIMASCO, a leading company in the reclamation and recycling of existing paved products. Hendricks is the vice president of Bituminous Roadrunner, Inc., a transportation company specializing in the delivery and use of emulsified road paving products, and President of 3Sixty Recycling Corp., which specializes in construction applications. He is a Board Member of the Long Island Regional Planning Council (LIRPC) and the Long Island Contractors Association (LICA), and a Trustee for the Laborers Union Local 1298.
Tony Graffeo is Vice President of Corporate Development for CA Technologies, a Long Island-based global IT management software and solutions company with $4.5 billion annual revenue. He is responsible for the identification, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments. Prior to his current position, Graffeo served as the Vice President of Business Unit Operations at CA. He is a graduate of C.W. Post campus of Long Island University and currently resides in Mt. Sinai with his two sons.
Paul Tonna serves as Molloy College's Executive Director for The Energeia Partnership, a leadership academy dedicated to identifying and addressing the serious, complex and multi-dimensional issues challenging the Long Island region. Tonna previously served as Suffolk County Legislator and later led the Suffolk County Legislature as Presiding Officer. He is a graduate of New York University, earned a Masters degree from Immaculate Conception Seminary and conducted doctoral studies at Fordham University. Tonna resides in Huntington his wife Carol and their children.
