Tickets Fore Charity at The Barclays to Benefit United Way of Long Island’s Military Family Assistance Project

United Way of Long Island is inviting Long Islanders to a day at The Barclays to benefit its Military Family Assistance Project. By purchasing tickets through Tickets Fore Charity using the ticket promotional code SHORTGAME, The Barclays will give back 75 percent of the proceeds to the Project.

The Barclays, the first event in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup, will feature 125 of the top players on tour, August 21–26 at Bethpage State Park: The Black Course in Farmingdale. The ticket through Tickets Fore Charity is a weekly grounds ticket for $150.

In 2011, the third year of the program, $333,450 was generated for local charities, and the tournament has set a goal of $400,000 for 2012. The PGA Tour, its players and tournaments support more than 3,000 charities across the country. In 2011, The Barclays donated $1.3 million to local charities.
