Lorraine Aycock Joins United Way Of Long Island’s Board Of Directors

United Way of Long Island recently elected Jericho resident Lorraine Aycock to its Board of Directors. Lorraine is Senior Vice President and Enterprise Business & Community Engagement Market Manager for Bank of America. Her responsibilities enable her to support the Bank’s efforts to align and deliver marketing and charitable resources to meet constituent and community needs across Long Island.

While working closely with the Bank’s Long Island president, she leads the planning and execution of sponsorship, philanthropic, community and business development initiatives locally.

 “Part of my job is to help our clients find solutions for economic self-sufficiently – a large part of United Way of Long Island’s core mission. I want to help Long Island grow and thrive, and there is no better place to fulfill this drive than by serving on the board at United Way,” said Aycock.

“Many of our programs have an element of financial and income instruction – Lorraine and Bank of America have been valuable partners in helping us educate those we help and we look forward to continuing to work closely with her as part of our Board in the coming year,” added Theresa A. Regnante, President and CEO of United Way of Long Island.

Prior to joining the Bank in 2000, Aycock worked in the School of Education at Hofstra University where she supported the School’s efforts to achieve national and state accreditations; provided certification recommendations for educational personnel in New York City, New York State and nationally; developed and presented informational seminars; and co-authored an advisement manual, which received national award recognition.

In addition to supporting volunteer efforts of various organizations, she helps promote financial literacy education to K-12 students in local school districts by leveraging Bank of America’s programs and partnerships including Better Money Habits, Your Financial Future and Ultimate Money Skills. Lorraine is a Trustee of Briarcliffe College and serves on the boards of Family Service League and the Farmingdale College Foundation. She is a member of the 2012 class of the Energeia Partnership and was recognized by Long Island Business News as a “2011 Top 50 Most Influential Woman in Business.” Aycock holds a bachelor of arts in Mathematics and a master of business administration in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University.
