JOHN BRUCKNER, PRESIDENT OF NATIONAL GRID NEW YORK, JOINS UNITED WAY OF LONG ISLAND’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

United Way of Long Island recently elected John Bruckner to its Board of Directors. As President of National Grid New York, John brings over 30 years of experience in the energy industry. He leads regulated businesses that deliver electricity to customers in upstate New York and natural gas to customers statewide. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President of Electric & Gas Engineering, Operations, Safety, and Capital Delivery where he acquired notable experience in storm restoration and served as system incident commander for National Grid’s U.S. operations. 
 
“I am thankful to have the opportunity to join the Board of Directors of United Way of Long Island. Their mission coincides with my commitment to provide clean energy to New Yorkers, and I am eager to help United Way of Long Island in continuing to make these goals a reality,” remarked John Bruckner.

John received his Master Degree in Business Administration from NYIT and is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. He served as a board member of the Long Island Association, NY Partnership, AERTC, New York Smart Grid Consortium and is an Advisory Board Member for HOPE HOUSE Ministries. He lives in Belle Terre with his wife, Helene and their four children.
