Women's Leadership Council is part of a global network of more than 75,000 women in 165 communities across six countries, dedicated to improving lives and creating strong communities. The goal of United Way of Long Island's Women's Leadership Council is to recruit and engage 100 women who contribute or have the potential to contibute to serve as ambassadors for our community impact initiative.
As part of the Women's Leadership Council, members will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events throughout the year including networking opportunities, roundtable discussions, volunteer activities and learning sessions. An emphasis will be placed on Women's Opportunities in the Workforce, and ways for women to advance or reenter the workplace.
