Suffolk Transportation & United Way of Long Island’s Walk-a-thon 2013 to benefit Island Harvest

Suffolk Transportation Service, Inc. headquartered in Bay Shore, NY called upon their many employees to participate in a Walk-a-thon on October 13th to raise money for the United Way of Long Island and Island Harvest.  This year's walk-a-thon raised $10,000 which will benefit the United Way and the Island Harvest Back-Pack Program. This program is designed to supplement meals on weekends for children who depend on school breakfast and lunch during the week.  President of Suffolk Transportation, John J. Corrado, who is also a board member of the United Way of Long Island, was on hand to participate in the Walk-a-thon.
