RWDSU, Local 338, A Leader in Union Support

RWDSU Local 338 expanded its support of United Way of Long Island to include a workplace giving campaign. The inaugural campaign was conducted earlier this Fall and raised $5,096.

RWDSU Local 338 was the first new campaign added through the SOAR to 1000 initiative. SOAR - Supporting Our Agencies with Resources - is United Way's effort to grow the number of local workplace campaigns it conducts each year from approximately 400 to 1,000 companies, businesses and organizations.

Historically, Local 338 has supported United Way through event sponsorships to benefit United Way's Community Impact Fund; joining United Way as a leading partner, volunteer and sponsor of the Letter Carriers Food Drive; and demonstrating commitment to helping young people succeed in life by supporting United Way's YouthBuild.
