Macy’s Inc. Employees Pledge Nearly $200,000 in Support of United Way of Long Island’s Giving Campaign

Deer Park, NY (July 8, 2016) — Fashion and fundraising have joined forces to provide assistance to Long Islanders in need.  Macy’s Inc. employees across Long Island recently announced a pledge of $194,000 to United Way of Long Island through their payroll deduction giving program. These funds will significantly aid United Way and its more than 100 community partner agencies in an effort to offer programs and support services to better the lives of families and individuals in the region.

In addition to the employee giving campaign, Macy’s contributed a $51,000 corporate gift - bringing the support from Macy’s to a total of $245,000 and positioning them as one of United Way Long Island’s largest corporate workplace campaign partners.
