Labor Leaders Support Long Islanders Facing Heating Emergencies this Winter

United Way of Long Island recently hosted its Salute To Labor breakfast honoring Jim Castellane, President or the Nassau/Suffolk Building & Construction Trades Council and Robert W. Dow Jr., Commissioner of Labor for Suffolk County. The event raised more than $23,000 to benefit United Way’s Project Warmth program which provides one-time grants to oil and utility companies on behalf of residents facing heating emergencies.
