IBEW Provides Holiday Meals to Communities Still Recovering from Hurricaine Sandy

The United Way of Long Island would like to take this opportunity to thank the IBEW of Philadelphia.   Local 98 is working with the Long Island United Way to make sure meals find their way to communities still in need of assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. This morning, the IBEW brought 300 turkeys and hams with all the trimmings AND 150 pies to needy families in Long Beach, an area devastated by Hurricane Sandy… The effort was coordinated by IBEW 1049 in Hauppauge.   We want to offer our warmest Holiday thanks to the IBEW for such a  generous gift and also show our appreciation for United Way Board Member Ellen Redmond, as well as the City of Long Beach  Councilman and City Manager Jack Schnirman who helped in the coordination of the effort.  Thanks to All!!!
