Bank of America Grants $125K to Create LI Capacity & Optimization Tank
Bank of America grant allows United Way of Long Island to create the LI Capacity & Optimization Tank. "The Tank" will help build organizational strength and capacity among nonprofit health and human service agencies on Long Island.
The Tank will offer cost-saving administrative services, training, technical assistance, and free resource database access to Long Island's nonprofit community. Corporations and longstanding experts in the health and human services sector will be engaged by facilitating issue-focused workshops and classes and providing one-on-one mentoring. The Tank will have a broad impact by helping to develop a stronger network of community-based nonprofit organizations, thereby improving the landscape of services available to Long Islanders in need.
"The Long Island Capacity & Optimization Tank will build the organizational strength and capacity of nonprofit health and human service agencies to do their important work more effectively. We envision a sector of vital, dynamic nonprofits that are better able to enrich the lives of individuals and families living within our communities across Long Island," said United Way of Long Island's President and CEO, Theresa Regnante.
