Julie Robinson-Tingue
Vice President, Marketing & Communications

Julie Robinson-Tingue joined United Way of Long Island in February, 2008, as vice president of Marketing & Communications, overseeing media relations, special events and all print and electronic marketing of United Way initiatives and programs. Her team is charged with the continued development and expansion of the United Way brand among all audiences in the Long Island community.

Prior to joining United Way, Robinson-Tingue worked for Progressive Marketing Group, Inc., a strategic marketing organization based in Melville. As the firm’s manager of client relations, she was responsible for researching, creating and overseeing comprehensive public and media relations campaigns on behalf of the firm’s clientele.

Prior to PMG, Robinson-Tingue was a corporate communications consultant, providing writing, crisis communication and public relations counsel to companies on Long Island and in New York City. She is the former manager of community relations and spokesperson for Long Island Blood Services, a division of New York Blood Center, and the former director of public affairs at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park.

Additionally, she held senior public relations positions at GHBM Healthworld and BSMG Worldwide and at Stony Brook University Hospital and Medical Center. Robinson-Tingue began her 15-year career as a television and radio news reporter in Buffalo, New York.

She resides in Bay Shore with her husband and two young children.
