Competitive proposals for Ryan White Part A/MAI funded HIV/AIDS Services                                               Nassau-Suffolk EMA 2011 Request for Proposals -Funding Period: March 1, 2011- February 29, 2012

The Nassau-Suffolk EMA has applied for funding from the U. S. Public Health Service, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for FY 2011 to implement provisions of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Ryan White Part A) and Minority AIDS Initiative and is seeking Letters of Intent to submit proposals.  Funding in the amount of up to $1,425,662 may be available for new and/or continuation programs under the following priority areas: 

Eligibility: 

Eligible organizations include not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community based organizations or not-for-profit public agencies with experience in the provision of either medical care and treatment or supportive services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Nassau and Suffolk counties. Faith based agencies, minority-operated community-based organizations, and community groups with a focus on racial/ethnic minority populations are strongly encouraged to apply. If applicable, applicants must be licensed to provide the services for which they are requesting funding.

All forms need to submit a Request for Funding Proposal (RFP) can be found by clicking on the appropriate links below. A Letter of Intent Form must be submitted by January 20, 2011 and must be emailed to ryanwhiterfp@unitedwayli.org.

All RFPs are due to the United Way of Long Island no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, February 4, 2011.  Please note that hand delivered proposals will not be accepted.  Questions regarding the RFP will be accepted in writing to the e-mail listed below by 5:00pm on January 20, 2011.
