VOTE WHO YOU THINK IS GOING TO WIN
THE LIL’ WING CHALLENGE

Rematches always take place when the first outcome was two close to call or the 2nd place finishes seeks one more opportunity to prove that they shouldn’t have been edged out. Both these stories will play out when a major battle for kids chicken wing supremacy comes to the New York Best Wings Festival in the Lil’ Wing Challenge at the NYCB Theater at Westbury on Sunday, June 7, 2015.

The Lil’ Wing Challenge, sponsored by the Crest Hollow Country Club, will not only raise the level of excitement at the Festival, but will also raise awareness and funds for United Way of Long Island’s (UWLI) YouthBuild Program.

Fans can vote once a day for who they think will dominate this competition.

The defending champ is 12 year old Gibson Borelli from New Jersey who edged out, then, 11 year old Madison Grant from Chicago, when he won a round of the Food Network’s Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off, Season 2. Gibson wowed the judges with his famed Messy Wild and Wacky Chicken Wings while Madison whipped up her masterpiece, Little Italy Wings with Blue Cheese Sauce.

Gibson is happy to prove to the 5,000 expected to attend the NY Best Wings Festival that his win was no fluke or “fowl”, while Madison wants to show true chicken wing fanatics that she committed no “fouls” and deserved the championship. To help their favorite chefs along with the competition two other Food Network’s Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off, Season 2 stars will join in the fun. Lauren Zilberman and Luis Ortega will lend their support and kitchen skills by serving as Gibson and Madison’s sous chefs.

With the chicken wing world anticipating this special rematch it should have the feel of a stadium like sporting event with thousands watching and cheering on their favorite wing maker, and in the end declaring the NY Best Wings Festival Lil’ Wing King or Queen!

The Lil’ Wing Challenge, to benefit UWLI’s YouthBuild Program, brings these talented pre-teens back into the spotlight to support and inspire other young career focused students. The chefs will bring a recipe of awareness to the YouthBuild Program that provides education for low-income young adults, as they work towards learning hands-on job skills. The 4 four young culinary pros will demonstrate to their peers that if you follow your dreams you can aspire to do anything you want and at any age.
